About the role

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex infrastructure and platform programmes within the Data Platform area. The focus of the role is managing lifecycle initiatives such as upgrades, end-of-life replacements and improvements of the existing infrastructure and Big Data technology stack.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product and business stakeholders to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently and create business value.

Our Data Platform supports a large ecosystem of open source and third-party technologies that power the company’s Big Data platform, Data Warehouse and middleware services. The environment includes approximately 2000 servers across the platform.

You will be responsible for

• Lead complex infrastructure and platform programmes with multiple technical and business dependencies

• Create and manage programme plans, timelines and delivery milestones

• Coordinate engineering, product and business stakeholders

• Identify risks, dependencies and delivery challenges and manage escalations when needed

• Understand technical architecture to anticipate delivery impacts and dependencies

• Support decision making by balancing technical trade-offs and delivery priorities

• Track programme progress, report status and manage budget forecasts

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and hold teams accountable for delivery

You will need
• Have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering technology programmes 
• Have experience of building credible relationships and influencing senior management 
 • Strong Project, Stakeholder & Programme management skills
 • Good reporting skills for programs and financial forecasting 
 • Adept communication & influencing skills and adoptability to changes
