You will be responsible for

WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT:

  • Build functional people plans to support and enable achievement of functional goals & objectives, through effective partnerships with Practices of Expertise, People Services (incl. Tesco Business Solutions) and People Change.
  • Provide strategic people thought leadership & alignment on all people matters at a functional level including transformations, organisational effectiveness, performance & talent.
  • Cultural & DEI ambassador, adopting best practice, exploring alternative solutions, role modelling & coaching leaders to bring this to life, positively delivering a diverse culture & workforce for the future.
  • Creating innovative & effective WL3+ talent pools with reliable-live succession plans for the function, working across the region to unlock & provide interesting career paths for future leaders.
  • Considering calculated risks & opportunities to develop talent, provide stretch & unlocking career progression for Directors.
  • Understand the different levers to pull on to close critical capability gaps, grow skills & develop the skills/workforce plan required for the future within the function.
  • Champion well-being, providing regular feedback to the leadership team and wider people team on its effectiveness & future opportunities.
  • Using your coaching skills to build the capability of functional leaders to anticipate & pre-empt organisational opportunities & challenges.
  • Collaborate with People Services to ensure we deliver a seamless people service experience within the function.
  • Partner with the People Services team to manage complex colleague relations cases at senior management level.
You will need
