About the role

We are currently recruiting a compliance Auditor on a 12-month fixed term contract. The purpose of the role is to ensure that all aspects of the product safety and quality system (including the H.A.C.C.P. plan, prerequisite programmes, company policies, documentation, operating practices, and specific procedures) are audited at least twice per annum.

 

You will also provide support to the business that will help with compliance to audit standards/guidelines.

You will be responsible for
  • Conducting annual BRCGS and other audits (e.g. pre-cooling, goods-in, pallet integrity etc)
  • Carrying out quarterly Site Standards audits
  • Conducting quarterly cleaning verification checks (allergen swabbing)
  • Ensuring corrective actions are completed
  • Facilitating third-party audits (BRCGS, Nando’s, OF&G)
  • Attending monthly audit and Health and Safety meetings
  • Attending any Ops meetings as and when necessary
  • Providing support to Operational, Transport and SHEQ teams

Hours of work:

40 per week, Monday to Friday. Typical hours 08.00am - 16.30pm, however flexibility is required dependent on business needs.

You will need

Essential:

  • Level 2 in Food Safety as a minimum
  • Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work on your own
  • Time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Driving licence

 

Desirable:

 

  • Level 2 in HACCP 
  • Internal audit training 
  • Good knowledge of BRCGS S&D audit standards
  • Experience in a previous audit role
  • Product and operational knowledge
  • Knowledge of ISO standards/GMP’s
