About the role
HOW IS WORKING IN THE TESCO BUSINESS SERVICES TEAM SPECIAL?
We established our service centre supporting Tesco’s operation in the Central European region back in 2019. Our colleagues provide services for Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia in several fields, e.g. finance, payroll and internal helpdesk, customer and product, translation services. Our young and dynamic teams are driving and accelerating changes on a global scale. At Tesco Business Services & Technology we support our business in operating efficiently and serving our customers a little better every day..
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- We are looking for somebody who is able to translate both Czech and Slovak languages into English and back (EN-CZ, CZ-EN, EN-SK, SK-EN) to translate various documents and communications concerning retail operations
- We are a cross-functional team and we cooperate with other teams closely on a daily basis
- Currently we mostly support Product, Business Support, People (HR) and CE Comms teams
- Previous professional translation experience is not a must, but basic knowledge of translation principles is expected
- Our future colleague is a person willing to learn with a hands-on attitude
REQUIREMENTS:
- Czech (native), English and Slovak language (minimum level C1)
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Willingness to learn and improve
- Microsoft Office user skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Relevant university studies, even ongoing are an advantage
- Knowledge of a CAT-tool is an advantage (preferably Trados)
