About the role
The analyst works to identify differences between systems (mostly as support for Loss Prevention partners, occasionally helping other departments) in the Finance business domain. Works as a member of the SAFENET team and delivers analyses in a timely manner of sufficient quality. Understands business needs, contributes to valuable features, participates in retrospectives, suggests improvements to processes and methodologies to reduce unknown loss, questions requirements and challenges where necessary. Identifies the value of tasks, always works on the highest priority items.

This role is based in Brno, Czechia. We work in hybrid model and meet 3 days a week at the office.

You will be responsible for

  • Analyze system differences highlighted by internal customer from Loss Prevention and Finance teams
  • Provide explanation for them via stock movements comparison between source and destination systems
  • Develop and apply datafixes to reduce/resolve some differences
  • Liaise with internal customer from Loss Prevention and Finance to properly account stock differences
  • Cooperate with other teams in Technology on root cause fixing
  • Develop and use tools and procedures that help with analysis
  • Understand basics about source/destinations systems in stock area and integration between them
  • Participate in design and testing of defects and tech debts connected to system differences.
  • Propose new monitoring measures and identify issues for improvements


You will need

Operational skills relevant for this job:

  • Experiences with building queries for relational databases like Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
  • Essential knowledge Visual Basic or other scripting language (optional)
  • Experience with data analytic tools in MS Excel or similar
  • Awareness about data modelling, how to store data and how to visualize them
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles
  • Awareness of basic terms from finance and accounting with respect to stock shrink

Experience relevant for this job:

  • Ability to communicate with end users and technical teams across the globe.
  • Intermediate level of English and preferrably Czech as well, ability to work with international team.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to enable the organization to get maximum value from its data assets
  • Analytical thinking, appetite to learn new things
  • Self-reliance, responsibility, and flexibility
