• I inspire and lead my team to build highly motivated and capable colleagues.

• I use the Forum and ‘What Matters To You?’ results as secondary sources of information on how colleagues feel and lead my team in delivering a shared plan where we find new ways to improve what matters to our colleagues.

• I am visible and available to colleagues in my Centre and strive to build a trusting environment where colleagues and Managers have open and honest conversations.

• I set clear objectives and expectations for my team and review their performance through Inspiring Great Performance Every Day and everyday conversations.

• I recognise great work and achievements daily and use the fair ratings process to ensure my team are recognised for the contribution they make.

• I review the capability within my team, making sure they have completed the training they need and provide continuous guidance and support to help them embed this knowledge and continue to grow.

• I support the members of my team who have a ‘missed’ performance rating and use the Supporting Your Performance process to help them reach their potential.

• I stretch and develop myself, using self- led learning to keep my knowledge current and actively encourage my team to do the same.

• I attract and support diverse talent both internally and externally, building a diverse team.

You will be responsible for

• I lead a helpful and friendly service culture within my Centre where we all work together for the good of the customer.

• I talk and listen to the Stores I service so I understand what we are doing well and where we can work together to improve the service and availability our customers receive.

• I lead a culture of zero Store complaints, quickly root causing any complaints we receive and fixing ongoing issues.

• I manage the cost effective storage and distribution of products to Stores, ensuring that all orders are assembled accurately and despatched on time.

• I coach my team in delivering all weekly resource planning routines, so we maximise our available skills and resource, building resilience in my Centre and having colleagues in the right place at the right time.

• I lead my team to manage the productivity of our colleagues, removing any obstacles to productivity and ensuring the high standards of training are delivered.

• I build strong, long-lasting relationships with Store Directors and Store Managers acting on feedback and working together for the good of the customer.

You will need

• I understand how I contribute to the wider business success and have a plan for my Centre which helps drive the business forward.

• I am NEBOSH qualified and lead a culture where the safety of colleagues, customers, contractors & visitors is central to everything that we do so that everyone, every day, goes home safely.

• I deliver the Big 6 - Customers recommend us and come back time and again, Colleagues recommend us as a great place to work and shop, We build trusted community relationships, Control stock, Control cost and Grow sales.

• I effectively deliver all corporate change and simplification programmes of work, which drive consistency and efficiency across Distribution.

• I make time to build a strong network outside of my Centre, understanding how the wider business operates and support this through the free movement of People, Jobs, Stock and Costs.

• I work as a team locally with the Stores I service, supporting other Distribution Centres and Stores where needed to ensure the wider Tesco business succeeds.

• I lead my team in our work within the local community by ensuring we are a good neighbour and championing our flagship community programmes – Bags of Help, Community Food Connection and Health Partnership.

• I am CPP qualified.
