Location – Edinburgh, Permanent

Office Attendance- Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office, 2 days per week for this position.

We’re looking for a Financial Control Systems Manager to join our Insurance and Money Services team on a fixed term basis.

You will support and maintain the functional operation of Financial Systems, including the Oracle E-Business suite, ePBCS and associated interfaces on a daily basis. You will be the first point of contact for all queries or issues related to Financial Systems’ processes and controls, implementing improvements and changes in an efficient and controlled manner.

What you’ll be doing


  • Support the implementation of financial systems process changes and enhancements; ensure all changes are effectively implemented.
  • Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures,
  • Day to day systems support, including access management and general ledger maintenance.
  • Provide advice, and assistance to users to resolve queries and ensure the applications capabilities are well understood by the business
  • Ensure the organization is not exposed to undue risks by using risk management systems to manage and mitigate risk.
  • Identify and collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring that their requirements are understood and that their concerns and issues are addressed.

We need you to have


  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Understanding of Finance Processes and Systems and/or experience in working in a Finance Systems role.

And if you have any of these, even better


  • Experience with Oracle Financial Systems.
  • Background in Accountancy
