- A strong portfolio showcasing delivered design work across web, responsive, and native apps, demonstrating expertise in solving complex problems.
- Experience working on high-profile design projects in a customer-facing commercial environment, ideally involving infrastructure or large-scale systems.
- Passion for tackling complex product challenges while balancing all aspects of user experience—strategy, research, information architecture, interaction design, and accessibility
- A solid understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process, including UX research, service design, blueprinting, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing to deliver human-centred solutions
- Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Miro, or similar.
- Ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses.
- Hands-on experience conducting or participating in user research—including interviews, observation, usability testing, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights.
- Experience designing with accessibility in mind, meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas confidently to stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptability to change and comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments, particularly within infrastructure projects.
- Ability to mentor and coach junior team members, setting standards for best practices and ways of working.
- Previous experience in the retail sector is an advantage.
