About the role

The Online Business Optimisation team is responsible for identifying, driving and evaluating significant opportunities to profitably improve Online trading and/or deliver customer-facing improvements. The role is primarily focused on delivering in-year improvements aligned to seasonal events and is supported by the Online Analytical teams to take an insight-driven approach.

You will be responsible for
  • Leading and coordinating the planning and execution of key initiatives to support Online seasonal events (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Summer), ensuring alignment across teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet commercial objectives.
  • Supporting tactical response plans to emerging threats or opportunities, ensuring swift action and stakeholder alignment.
  • Identifying and prioritising customer-facing optimisation opportunities using data-driven insight from analytics, customer feedback, and commercial performance.
  • Driving initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, conversion, and profitability across the Online channel. 
  • Building strong relationships across Technology, CCEC, Commercial, Fulfilment, and Business Support to enable fast-paced delivery. 
  • Framing and solving complex problems in a dynamic environment, with a clear focus on customer impact. 
  • Maintaining awareness of market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and identify risks or opportunities.
You will need
  • Previous e-commerce experience & a passion for retail at high intensity seasonal periods
  • Ability to manage and deliver cross functional projects / programmes on time 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight timelines
  • Strong understanding of financial / commercial and customer performance metrics 
  • Strong engagement & influencing skills including senior stakeholders
  • Clear and concise communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems using strong analytical skills in interpreting data and making sound recommendations
  • Project management skills desirable
  • Able to work in an agile fast-paced environment 
  • Self-starter and ability to navigate projects and tasks proactively
