About the role
This role sits within Tesco Technology’s Customer APIs platform, specifically in the Profile Domain. The Profile Domain is a core platform that enables secure, scalable, and real-time access to customer personal data, forming the foundation of Tesco’s ambition to create a single customer view across the Group. It supports customer journeys across e-commerce, stores, marketing, customer support, and partner ecosystems.
The domain is responsible for:
• Core profile data: names, email addresses, phone numbers, address book, devices, and customer preferences Internal
• Data connectivity and intelligence: customer matching, search, insights, and integrations with partners
• Value-added services: verification, customer status, data portability, and audit/history capabilities
As a domain, we are accountable for being the authoritative source of truth for customer personal data, ensuring it is accurate, secure, and accessible through well-governed APIs aligned with Tesco’s data privacy principles.
In this role, you'll work work at the intersection of customer experience, platform engineering, and data privacy, solving complex problems to enable inclusive, accessible, and personalised experiences for millions of customers.

This role requires you to be based in or near Kraków, as you will spend 60% (3 days) of your week collaborating with colleagues at our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely.

You will be responsible for
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence, with these specific responsibilities:
• Evolve and drive the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap o For products within the Profile Domain, contributing to Tesco’s single customer view and enabling personalised and accessible customer experiences
• Proactively partner with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of my product as part of the wider business strategy
• Understand key user personas, customers, and stakeholders for the product and their needs o Including internal API consumers (product teams, Customer Experience Centre, data teams) and external partners
• Be accountable for the performance and adoption of the product and work towards achieving Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs)
• Prioritise work and thoughtfully resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders o Balancing accessibility, usability, interoperability, data quality, privacy, and security
• Document and communicate requirements clearly to engineering teams using user stories and acceptance criteria o Supporting delivery of capabilities such as customer data management, search, matching, verification, and data portability
• Steer sprint and release planning sessions with engineering counterparts to deliver value iteratively
• Support adoption of improvements across product, engineering, and stakeholder communities o Helping teams make effective use of standardised customer data APIs
• Coordinate and communicate the resolution of live product issues independently Internal o Ensuring reliability and accuracy of customer data
• Provide direction to cross-functional teams on short-term priorities
• Identify and remove impediments faced by the team, working with the Head of Product and stakeholders, and proactively flag risks or delays
• Support the development of a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment for Product Managers

• I understand how large technology systems interact and how to monitor product health (e.g. uptime, performance metrics)

• I have experience working on platform or data-driven products, or I demonstrate strong capability to learn in this space
