About the role
e have an amazing opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Tesco Store Stock and Shelf Edge Management Product Team, part of the wider Stores Technology Team. Our mission is to transform how Tesco Group manages all aspects of its Store Stock Management technology and processes, through colleague facing tools and services. 

Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, you will work alongside other Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, Data Analysts and Technical Programme Managers, to help define the vision and strategy. This role will cover a number of areas including how store stock data is collated, managed and shared across our enterprise platforms to provide accurate inventory and product data. This is in addition to the transformation of how stock is managed through Tesco stores in the future.

We are looking for a driven individual who can demonstrate a passion for solving problems, working collaboratively, and embracing technology and change in what is an exciting and broad area. You will be responsible for
Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures;
 • Evolve the product roadmap involving writing user stories, managing the backlog and priorities.
 • Understand and partner with multiple internal/ external stakeholders in line with the wider business and product strategy. 
• Understand key user personas, customers and stakeholders for the product and their pain points. 
• Work alongside research, design, analytics, and engineering teams to design and develop solutions to solve real business needs.
 • Understand and demonstrate all of the features of the product to different audiences both within and outside of the immediate product team.
 • Prioritise work and decisively resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders, and provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams on the shorter-term priorities.
 • Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories, personas, and acceptance tests. Help the team in breaking down a complex piece of work / epic into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster. 
• Drive the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product teams and engineering stakeholders.
 • Be accountable for the performance / adoption of the product and work towards achieving the outcomes and key results (OKRs). 
• Manage live product issues through coordination and communication to prioritise effectively. 
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
You will need
  •  Knowledge and experience of product management best practice and methodologies, especially an understanding of how to create and use a product vision and strategy to align with teams and stakeholders around outcomes and key results.
  • Experience of working in a complex change environment which encompasses multiple product and engineering teams, both local and remote, to deliver enterprise-wide applications and features.
  •  An understanding of key UX/UI principles, and knowledge of how to apply these, including research methods and experimentation of ideas and hypotheses. 
  • Experience of creating insights from customer and market research to influence the strategic direction and product roadmap Including, how various personas perceive, understand and experience the product in different ways.
  • An understanding of the Product Management Lifecycle, including the product delivery process and agile practices to discover, design, define, develop and deliver small increments of the most important opportunities, that will drive growth and value for a product. 
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of working in a store environment and /or store inventory management and maintenance
