About the role
Security & Capabiity is seeking a driven and collaborative individual to join as a Security Programme & Planning Manager. This role reports into the Senior Technical Programme Manager, helping to define, implement, and enable the delivery of critical security initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely across all security and stakeholder teams to oversee the management of the security portfolio, ensuring effective governance, planning, and reporting, ultimately working to protect the financial investment and return of the portfolio.

You will be responsible for
Reporting to the Senior Technical Programme Manager, this role focuses on securing initiative investments and standardising portfolio and financial management to ensure stakeholder buy-in and effective governance across Security and Capability teams. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with Security and Capability teams to oversee governance, planning, reporting, and process improvements. • Work with the Senior Technical Programme Manager to communicate and maintain project management standards, guidance, and templates. • Ensure consistent identification, tracking, and monitoring of workstream risks, issues, and dependencies. • Produce analytical reports on department/portfolio status, resources, and financial position. • Develop and implement processes and reporting mechanisms to track progress toward committed programme goals. • Provide guidance and support on financial processes and governance, instilling best practice across TPMs, Engineering, and Product teams. • Influence consensus on trade-offs to ensure optimal value. • Anticipate potential risks and issues, facilitating discussions, managing escalations, and establishing preventative processes. • Secure, manage, and track investment funding while assessing impacts on dependencies, timelines, and implementation plans. • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on annual budget requirements and compliance. • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure delivery and improvement plans meet expectations. • Support vendor selection processes and management of maintenance contracts, overseeing portfolio maintenance, identifying opportunities. • Define clear objectives and career paths for direct reports, fostering their growth and development. • Actively participate in recruitment efforts and contribute to the TPM community. You will need
Working within a programme function overseeing management of an investment portfolio. Working within a security function for a major retail organisation. Building credible relationships and influencing senior management & leadership teams.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong inter-personal skills. Strong vendor management and negotiating skills. Exceptional reporting skills for programs and financial forecasting. Excellent communication & influencing skills and adoptability to changes.
