About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Analytics domain here at Tesco Technology! This team are responsible for developing and managing Data & AI products that drive intelligent experiences, decisions and actions across the Tesco ecosystem. We work in close partnership with business and technology teams across Stores, Finance, People, Customer, Commercial to enable the seamless build, consumption, integration and expansion of Data & AI capabilities.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be shaping and delivering AI powered productivity solutions (Everyday AI) that enhances Tesco colleague productivity and simplify workflows. Partners with cross-functional teams and external partners to define strategy, prioritise features and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs, driving AI adoption and measurable productivity gains.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being based between our London and Welwyn Garden City offices 3 days a week.

You will be responsible for

·       Evolving and driving the Everyday AI product vision, strategy, and the long-term roadmap.

·       Proactively partnering with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of the Everyday AI product as part of the wider AI strategy.

·       Understand key user personas, customers & stakeholders for the product and their pain points.

·       Accountable for the performance/ adoption of the product and work towards achieving the Outcomes and Key Results (OKRs).

·       Prioritise work and decisively resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders.

·       Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using user stories with acceptance criteria and help the team in breaking down complex work into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster.

·       Steer sprint/ release planning sessions by working with the engineering counterparts to plan sprints/ releases that deliver maximum business value in least effort.

·       Drive the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product teams and engineering stakeholders.

·       Prioritise coordinate and communicate the resolution of live product issues independently.

·       Provide leadership and direction to cross functional team(s) on short-term tasks and mid-term priorities.

·       Be the subject matter expert for managing AI productivity products and delivering value to customers within this product area.


You will need

·       Appraises and analyses customer research results to influence product outcomes and strategic goals.

·       Understands how diverse personas or customer groups perceive, interpret and experience products in different ways.

·       Applies UX/UI disciplines and principles to product design, ensuring intuitive and customer-friendly interaction.

·       Develops hypothesis statements and collaborates with engineers to set up and execute experiments.

·       Understands AI productivity technology systems and monitors health metrics.

·       Contributes to setting vision and strategy for product areas and develops and baselines product OKRs.

·       Engages in market research, leveraging insights to shape product vision and strategic direction aligned with business, technology goals and customer expectations.

·       Utilises various data types appropriately, knowing when to apply quantitative and/or qualitative data.

·       Applies knowledge of the Product Management lifecycle, delivery processes, and Agile principles to discover, design, define, develop and deliver incremental opportunities that drive growth and value.
