The team builds a robust, distributed deployment part of the Retail Platform that supports large-scale, low-bandwidth environments. The team is responsible for orchestrating and managing software rollouts across thousands of retail stores using cloud-native and edge-based solutions.
As a Software Engineer, you will build and operate the observability capabilities that provide visibility into deployment workflows, store health, device status, and platform reliability across thousands of geographically distributed retail locations. You will work closely with deployment team, platform, and operations teams to ensure proactive detection of issues, rapid troubleshooting, and data-driven operational excellence.

UoP 20 000 - 25 000 PLN gross/month

- Designing and implementing metrics, logging, tracing, and telemetry solutions across cloud and edge components.
- Building monitoring pipelines, dashboards, and alerting frameworks that provide actionable insights into deployment health, device status, and store operations.
- Defining and maintaining Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and reliability metrics for mission-critical deployment services.
- Creating operational analytics for deployment performance, software rollout progress, failure detection, and capacity planning.
- Integrating telemetry from cloud services, edge devices, deployment agents, and infrastructure components into centralized monitoring platforms.
- Building automated detection and root-cause analysis capabilities using modern observability practices and tooling.
- Developing self-service dashboards and reporting capabilities for engineering, support, and operations teams.
- Driving observability standards, instrumentation practices, and monitoring strategies across the Retail Platform ecosystem.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong Java development skills (Spring Framework)
- Basic system design skillset
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and event sourcing patterns
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Familiarity with SQL databases and distributed systems concepts
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience in monitoring and observability tools
- Experience with modern observability frameworks and standards such as OpenTelemetry.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and visualization platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics or New Relic.
