About the role
As a Technical Programme Manager, you will deliver complex, cross-functional technology programmes for Customer Order Service and help serve our customers better. You will work collaboratively with Product, Engineering and business colleagues and lead the programme to deliver value quickly and often. You will provide the cohesion between Programme and Engineering functions to deliver quality across the full lifecycle of the programme.

About the team
Customer Order Service orchestrates the end to end shopping experience both for online and stores and provides customer omnichannel experience. Customer Order service is a tier 1 domain and one of the major building block of Tesco’s retail platform. Customer Order Service has suit of APIs to support the customer’s transaction journey.
You are accountable for
• Deliver complex programmes with multiple business and technical risks that will impact the success of key Tesco business priorities.
• Create and track a plan to deliver the programme goals, including the technical implementation plan, ensuring colleagues and stakeholders from across Tesco are kept up-to-date.
• Understand trade-offs in software delivery using experience and influencing skills to drive consensus with the Engineering and Product teams to obtain the best value and solution.
• Collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Provide clear, concise, and transparent communication across all levels.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and timelines effectively.
• Deliver consistent reporting and forecasting on program progress, financials, and outcomes.
• Champion best practices and continuous improvement within program and stakeholder management.

Experience relevant for this role:
• Have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering technology programmes
• Have experience of building credible relationships and influencing senior management

• Adept communication & influencing skills and adoptability to changes
