About the role

We're looking for an experienced Trade Planning Manager on a Part time basis to come join our team.

You'll be responsible for developing plans based on customer and product insight and to deliver a winning proposition for our Customers and Tesco.

You will be responsible for

- Building a winning trade plan which materially moves our performance on year on year and vs our competitors, growing incremental sales value and market share

- Influencing stakeholders of all work levels to deliver against critical path timings, and briefs for space/customer proposition requirements

-Understanding the drivers of performance, through sound analytics and strong partnership with relevant functions (e.g. dunnhumby, finance, insight) and use this to build  Trade Space plan  

- Applying insight and customer understanding to the Events programme to support space optimization, sales and customer perception.

- Prioritizing propositions, promotions, and offers based on customer needs and calendar themes.

-Reviewing & continuously improving the Promotional offering,  optimizing all pieces of Feature Space, to drive sales 

Ensuring all promotions on feature space are effective and incremental

- Developing the relationship with Retail, Product, Customer, SRM and Strategy & Trade teams

- Being an expert on competitors Promotions and Events across all channels.

- Anticipate competitor activity to proactively build plans to ensure we “win the week” 

You will need

- Range development

- Trade planning

- Merchandise Planning or Buying

- Critical Path Management

-Proven track record of making decisions on Market Data

-Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

-Strong influencing and Communication skills
