A munkakörről
As the Assistant Buyer for the Textiles team, you will be responsible for the Filled Goods category, while supporting the delivery of the Home Textiles trade plan across Bedlinen and Filled Goods. 

Working closely with the Lead Buying Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products are developed to the right quality and price point, and are delivered on time to drive commercial performance. 

This position offers excellent exposure to category strategy, product development, and trading within a fast-paced retail environment.

  • Annual bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary.

  • Buying responsibility for your own range area and trade plan reporting into the Lead BM
  • Sourcing products for the department working with international sourcing & domestic suppliers
  • Negotiating both product price & supplier terms (with support) improving the category trading position sustainably
  • Identifying new product opportunities and understanding how to work through the different stages of product development from concept to production.
  • Understanding customer needs , market trends and competitor activity through regular comp shops.
  • Active involvement with category merchandising team in range building process to deliver the right offer across all store formats
  • Managing samples
  • working with TBS & artwork agency to ensure new products are set up accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining your input into the departments trackers and systems are accurate and kept up to date.

Experience of outlook systems , excel and powerpoint
Previous buying experience - preferably at Assistant Buyer level.
